Darkness

by gena   Feb 16, 2016

Darkness
It unfolds in us
In our hearts
Everyone has darkness,
But only a few it runs through their vans
Into their bloodstream
It hurts their fragile minds
Whispers naughty things
Until the darkness isn't just a piece anymore,
It is you.

    "vans" should be "veins".

I like the brevity in this. It's powerful and true. We all have a little bit of light and darkness. Sometimes I feel like the dark can try to overpower the light, where I lose hope, etc.

Welcome to PnQ, by the way! Hope you enjoy it here and keep writing.
