Rising Doubts

by Baby Rainbow   Mar 16, 2016

My doubts may be rising
as you approach closer.
Do girls like me
ever close the door
on our lingering paranoia?

You whisper hope into my dreams,
making me seek beauty
in every passing morning.

But would you still stay beside me,
spreading your special magic dust,
if my mind no longer believes
that it could be your shining star?

I give you my trust,
but my fear of it being left unprotected
remains silently growling in my heart.
