Dream today gone tomorrow

Today I'm dreaming and by tomorrow everything has gone away.
Why is there so much pain for me? Why is this life chosen for me?
Every happy moment is taken away and stored until forgotten.
Just a touch of sadness breaks my heart,
I pull in so no one sees what's hiding under.
A smile of beauty they say it is, forced out to be what is wanted.
Happiness I can not give but a great actor I shall be...
Enough entertainment for one day I lie my head down to dream again.

    I really liked this though sad it's beautifully written with so much emotion.

    When that little bit broken it's hard to be true to ourselves because we paint on smiles and people think we are ok but on the inside were breaking that little bit more because of our lies. I know all too well about lying to myself about happiness. Things may seem bad now but remember they will not last forever.

      Thanks I appreciate it >hugs< things actually have gotten better I'm happy to say I'm glad to not be in that head space anymore either. Sadly it's true what you said I hope others can be happy for real as well. Time heals a lot.
