Holding Onto Never Letting Go

by Baby Rainbow   Apr 9, 2016

Would you still turn and leave
if I dropped my denial,
admitting that you can't ever reach me?

Before the moment of your departure,
I felt you slipping away,
and I knew it was more than a feeling,
more than a paranoid though of insecurity,

because you never smiled like you meant it.

I get the point,
you let yourself let go of me,
and I am left here
trying to pick myself back up,
knowing that I will never be able
to let what we had go...

because you didn't even give us
a chance for things to grow!

Your poetry is so sweet and sad and always seems to pull at my heart. The gentle feel of lost love
