On broken bough

by Harsh Vardhan   Apr 18, 2016

Amidst the tremendous rains
Jealous winds and angry cloud
One by one trees collapsed
With bustle louder than loud.

Demolished the collony,sparrows once settled
Dishoused sparrows mourns with haze
Many lost the parents and many the kids
Such was unlucky JIU,a victim of nature's rage.

To the best of might, flaps her wings, JIU the sparrow
In search of a branch of a tree
Where she'd rest and take some relief
To forget the hardships offered by decree.

On a broken bough, little JIU's eyes strike
Kindles a hope with divine delight in heart
Sits on it the young JIU and waits
For the frightening tempest storm to depart.

Before her eyes form lovely images
Of the gone days when she used to live in a nest
With her Ma and Pa and a handsome bro
With pieces of breads, they used to have fest.

A soothing but unfortunate breeze blew and........."CRACK"
Detached broken bough with the dreaming JIU
Heavily dashed on the ground and images flew to the heaven
Unseen, unheard and unnoticed by you.
