It's not you, it's me

by Becca   Apr 20, 2016

Sometimes I hate how often I just can't talk
I hate how I make them suffer
I hate how high strung I am
And I hate how I have to cover

I hate how I can't admit that I'm wrong
I hate how I always blame you
I hate how I am too damn manipulative
And make you blame you too

I hate how I feel all about myself
I hate how it makes me cry
I hate how the mirror looks back
And how often I just don't even try

I hate how some days I can manage a smile
I hate how some days I cant
I hate how you look at me now that you know
I hate how I feel so damn absent

Sometimes I feel like I can conquer this
While at other time it's just too big a mountain to climb.

    Rebecca what a powerful piece.
You go through all the motions here. It's hard not being able to look at yourself in the mirror because of things we have done of other people have done to us.

    Keep writing, Em
