Crying Skies:

by Scott Cole   Apr 27, 2016

I sit staring at those dreary skies
It's such a tender shade of grey,
With those big ole thunder clouds
Making it possible to stay that way.

She cries out to the World below
Her voice carries through the air,
And every ounce of built up pain
Cause both her blue eyes despair.

Down comes all her bottled tears
And they drench all they do touch,
Oh the Sun shades her smiley face
Because she loves the sky so much.

In better times and better places
The two of them are best of friends.
Both skipping across the Heavens
With but fresh air and sunny grins.

Her downpour could last for hours
For her brokenheart it is for real,
And all the crying in this World
Still won't help her poor heart heal.

So down come all her endless tears
As they slowly fall she hides her eyes,
But you can still see her hidden misery
In those thunderstorms that she cries.

First up another of your poems Scott that I really like. I hope you don't mind but I would like to give you some constructive comments (given entirely to help)

I felt that maybe those sadly skies might sit better as ole sad skies or sad ole skies (as per big ole thunder clouds but this is entirely my own opinion and may not be yours or anyone else's)

Despaire is misspelt should be despair)
(Hiden is misspelt should be hidden)

My favourite lines are: And all the crying in this World Might not never ever make it heal and really like the visuals and rhyming flow throughout
