Picture In A Frame

by Sasha Shaffer   May 22, 2016

I used to see your smiling face
Looking up at me with glee
So happy, innocent, and free
God has truly blessed me
By making you my niece
You were my missing puzzle piece
Yet, I never knew
Just how much I needed you
Until the day
You were taken away
Now I miss you so
I just want you to know
But, all I can do
Is deal with the pain
As I look at your picture in a frame.

Sasha, firstly I'd like to give you my deepest sympathy for the lost of your niece, I will never be able to comprehend the pain that you feel as I have 2 nieces and 5 nephews and would hate to lose any of them.
    Secondly, welcome to P&Qs.

Finally, a heartfelt, emotion filled piece that was well written. Nothing could come close to how you feel as we all grieve in different ways and I hope writing this helped somewhat.
    All the best, Em
