I was there

by rorisang   May 23, 2016

Who was there to love you when your mouth had a smell of a sewerage and no girl would degrade themselves that much to speak with you?

tell me who was there to hold you when touching meant getting filthy dirty?

who was there to care when you had nothing but shameful words to offer?

who was there to make you smile and to give you hope when your were ready to give up on your useless life?

tell me who was there to rebuild you, pray for you, nature you and mould you to a person who is acceptable even to the one's who once rejected you?

tell me who was there?

I was there.

I kissed your lips no matter how much your teeth cut my tongue.

I showed you off to everyone even though your picture made everyone look down on me.

I was there to eat your unbearable bitter expired shameful piece of pain with you.

I was there!!!

I was there!!!

Today you treat me like a dog that's not even good enough to look at you.
you talk to me like a homeless child that you pity.
today I am just another person you ashamed to be seen with.

but remember this, i was there. I was there. no one will ever be there for you like I was.

Rorisang, this is a very sad but beautiful write.
I feel many of us, including me, can relate to this unfortunately. Being there for someone who needs us then when the tables are turned they are nowhere to be seen.

    All the best, Em
