Lamentation for freedom

by ganiu sodiq   Jul 1, 2016

I lament for freedom not because I have no God
But because I'm done drowning in this shallow water
of hatred
Take my hands but be careful not to end up in this
black and muddy water
I refuse to drink in the disease and shame that comes
with love
Help me to get up from this one night love and
forever lost
It's bewildering how lost could turn and spins a
man's world
Oh! rescue this world of mine from deteriorating
Safeguard me so I won't forever stir into a wrong
path
I'm done with this cane human trap. Free me so we'd
regain our balance
I'm done murmuring and swimming in this
wanderpool of Puerto Princesa City
Never say goodbye.
Please take my hands, save me to save our unborn
child
So that you won't to be lonely when the night comes
knocking
Kneeling with a sober body and sinful soul like a
bone in front of a dog
Oh!
Don't expunge me from your pure heart wherever
you're
Because I could hear my heart racing faster whenever
I'm with you
To you my Crème caramel brown skinny girl
Save my life to keep my hope alive..........
