Vacant

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 9, 2016

The night was dark and stormy,
as a vacant-faced girl
lay beside the river
underneath a cover of death.

Once upon a life she longed
for happiness to open up for her,
but she never seemed to fins
a way out of her blackness.

Disturbed and unfixable,
she stopped near the shore,
which resembled the turmoil
that lived trapped inside of her.

She had given up on tomorrow,
accepting that she was a lost cause -
a mistake in this world,
with a heart gone wrong.

And as that last raindrop
merged with her last tear,
the storm dimmed its lights,
everything turned black and still...

The night was dark and stormy,
as a vacant-faced girl
lay beside the river
underneath a cover of death.
