Heart of Frozen Hell

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 23, 2016

All these broken dreams
are starting to freeze my soul
and turn my heart into ice.

Just an ordinary day
and my secrets and memories decide
to take a step out of Pandora's Box,
chasing my mind into the darkness.

Secrets and memories tangled inside my skin,
leaving scars as painful reminders
to the person I once was.

That girl is long gone now,
for there was a time when she used to care,
but her heart has become frozen.

You would think I would be used to the cold by now,
but deep inside I am a shivering wreck,
barely breathing.

I just smile back to the world,
pretending this is just an ordinary day
and that hell is not freezing over
inside my heart of secrets and memories.
