Evening is coming
DERRICK MERDY·SUNDAY, JULY 31, 2016
In the course of a lifetime, feelings sift out, indescribable feelings that lack any bones for analysis. They precipitate, congealing somewhere in a persons heart. There is no way to explain their insoluble kernel. People find it hard to recognize even themselves. But those indefinable feelings have an enter all meaning... Washed out from the waves of a lifetime, they are what will last. The sun is sinking. Evening is coming... The dream is approaching again...is it the kernels outer shell? Water is flowing down the alley into a drain by the road... My footsteps slow, following its stream, I learned, in my life, that you have to take some paths alone... But sometimes you can find a companion on the same route. Walk through the mist, with some effort pull up heavy legs, yet walk lightly... "Be careful in them streets you ain't walked before. I know it's hard to walk when you run'd before" that's what Blake was expressing.
