The Numbness of Mind

by Ezeani Sunday   Nov 25, 2016

Since my brain can't cup anything
Let me do the thing that I love doing
I may be sagged and sapped; nothing
Could draw me from poetic drawing
To make my world calm and serene

Since my brain is numb
My muse heating like steam
Foams of beauty: gun and bomb
Gleaming rather scream
At the apathy of my mind

Since my brain has been drowned
In the Pacific of aridity
I resolve hardly and soldierly horned
Forming agility never temerity
Till I can swim in breezy and stormy sea
