Tears (Concrete)

by Kasie   Jan 7, 2017

~A~

~tear~

~slowly~

~forming in~

~my sorrowful~

~eyes. I'm grieving~

~the memory of the soft~

~kicking of your sweet little~

~feet within me. I wonder what~

~it would have been like to hold you~

~in my arms. A cascade of tears now~

~streaming down my face at the thought~

~of not once getting to look at that beautiful~

~precious face of yours. The bittersweet memory~

~of feeling you inside of me is what I have left to~

~remember you by, but what a sweet one it is.~

~The love I have for you will always remain.~

~Sweet darling, you are everything to me.~

~I will always cherish the memories ~

~you blessed me with.~

~I love you~

Like a real tear, this is full of deep emotion that runs like a river; a tidal wave of grief within in one drop.

The best poems are often bore from real experience. I hope writing this helped.

    Take care.

Kasie, this is absolutely stunning but so sad and definitely relatable to me as I lost a child because of abuse and though I wasn't ready for children nor wanted them at the time and it wasn't by choice that I got pregnant it still hurt to lose my boy.
I love how you make this into a teardrop, well done.

      Thank you.
It wasn't an easy one to write. I had a miscarriage a year ago today and I wrote this as a memorial and to get my emotions out.
