Sweet Angel (revised)

by Kasie   Jan 9, 2017

Sweet Angela Christine,
Little sister from above.
You left us too early,
Two years was not enough.

I miss...

Your glistening eyes,
That looked up to me.
Your sweet little laugh,
When you laughed with glee.

Your smile that could brighten
Even the darkest of days.
How you made me laugh,
With your little quirky ways.

You were gone before I knew it,
Your absence kills me inside.
I was not prepared,
To have to say goodbye.

Fly high sweet Angel,
You precious little queen.
I will love you forever,
Sweet Angela Christine.

    Kasie,

This seems too personal not to be literal so if it is, you have my sincerest sympathy. If not, it is a wonderfully written and powerful piece anyway.
That is all I have for this - accomplished writing.

    Take care,

    Ben

Thank you. She was my sister (technically my older sister) I never had the chance to meet her. She passed before I was born, she was 2 at the time. I used the way my dad felt to write this. I guess you could say my dad and I collaborated on this. I used the term little sister because she was little when she passed.
