Nautica

by Lovely   Jan 12, 2017

Fits of sleep
That twist and turn
Like the ebb and flow
Of a troubled sea.

To never feel the calm
Can leave a soul lost
Like a compass
Without its North.

Direction is hopeless now
And I wish to drown
Like a sunken ship
Adrift in the abyss.

Taking with me
These "what ifs" and regret.
Never to be found
As I lay buried
In a haunted past.
