The Fateful Dance pt2

by Kasie   Jan 14, 2017

Three years pasted by,
Since our first dance.
The day you won my love,
And made my heart prance.

But a lot has changed,
Within those few years.
Love turned to hate,,
And my pillow soaked with tears.

I can still smell the liquor,
That was strongly on your breath.
The night that you beat me,
Ever so closely to death.

I will never forget,
What you put me through.
But, I have picked myself back up,
And I'm glad that I left you.

Kasie, this is very hard to read, let alone how hard it must have been to write.. I am glad you escaped such a terrible situation! I do know plenty of people who stay because they arent sure what else to do and find it embarrassing or try and justify it.. Well done..

Thank you. I am forever grateful because I had a friend that was there for me and still is. If it wasn't for her, I would of never had the courage to leave.

This is so relatable to me... It's such a contrast to part 1 but still very well rhymed
