The Angels Will Carry You

by Tainted Butterfly   Aug 25, 2005

Harboring the pain of a raging storm
the ones that wish they were never born
hope that the pain would slip into the night
so they could fly someday free of this plight.

hoping sadness would cease with the blade
that scars and old wounds would eventually fade
wishing for strength to fly anywhere but here
eventually slip away from the world and disappear

those who say there is nothing anyone can do
it's just something that they have to go through
pain is not meant to come and it doesn't have to last
chances of happiness can still come to pass

hidden in cocoons of darkness and madness
dealing with humiliation and insurmountable sadness
flap your wings be encouraged and strong
feel like it is right and not that it is wrong.

angels will come and save your lost souls
no more sadness shall be felt and you shall be whole
time will teach wings don't break, but bend.
Hearts can be broken but time helps them mend

know that your life is one that has mattered
all pieces even ones that are shattered.
look to yourself for the strength to fly
know that the angels will carry you to the sky
