Songs Of Children

by LostHopesCrimsonTears   Jun 13, 2006

***Written from title***

Songs of children
Lost, unheard
Beaten, broken
So disturbed.

Loss of innocence
Darkened souls
Hidden demons
Inside they hold

Crying out for freedom
For their souls to be heard.
Waiting for release
From the pain they've endured

Afraid to prevail
In the shadows they do hide
Within their frail and jaded minds
Our secrets do reside.

Songs of children
So disturbed
Beaten, broken
Lost, unheard.

Teh last stanza finished the poem with such a melencholy air, i had shivers.

a perfect summery of the over looking of child abuse
