The letter

I wish you could've seen
exactly from the start
that you were going to hurt me
and completely break my heart.

you always said you wouldn't
you always said that you cared.
but you left me for another girl
and left the love we shared.

i wish i didn't believe you
and listened to your lies
cause all that you had did
was leave me here to die.

i wish you didn't leave me
the way that you did
you handed me an envelope
and a bottle without a lid.

inside of that envelope
was a letter and a knife
saying that you hated me
and hoped I'd take my life.

inside of that bottle
was a bunch of tears
also in the letter you said
"let your blood drip in here."

you also said in the letter
to leave some directions behind
what to do with the bottle
and what was on my mind.

you signed the letter quickly
with I'm sorry and goodbye
ill see you at your funeral
and say I'm glad you died.

so, it took me a week
to write out everything i thought
then i took a picture
figured you wanted a snap shot.

i put the letter in the envelope
yours along with mine
and placed them next to the bottle
they would be found in time.

i picked up the knife
and put them to my wrists
just because you told me too
that is why I'm doing this.

i slice my wrists really hard
and fall into a deep sleep.
for along with the envelope and bottle,
i left the knife for you to keep.
