Tear

by Katie   Nov 2, 2006

I caught a tear in my hand today
Watched it slowly trickle down my arm
This tear tells a story
A story far and long

The story of a little girl
Who lost her father young
He didn't die nor run away
He simply drank his heart away

He was mean when she was little
Tore her heart to shreds
But she still misses him today
For she loves him to death

Soon he'll forget his little girl
And the memories they shared
They were very close one lost day
Now he's disappeared

Awhh. That was so sad hun.. I found the flow good except for the last line where I think the rhyme scheme goes down the drain a little. It was definetely heartfelt and the descriptions were great. Nicely done sweetie! 5/5

I liked it, it had a lot of emotion behind it and I'm sure that alot of people on the site can relate to it. You described everything great and I really liked this one, I don't know why; but I did.

Wonderful poem! I think you miss spelled "shreds" in the second line of the third stanza--- And in the last stanza: "They were very close one lost day" that line seems too long; the flow is off... Other than that, good job!
