It just began to swell
Swell up into a killer
How could one leg do that
Making walking seem so bitter

Walked you home that day
Gave you water to relieve the stress
As we left and said Goodbye
The words you uttered were “God Bless"

Go up to your house
To help you clean your home
But when we left
I pray you didn’t feel alone

When your son came to visit
We would only speak of you
He would say how much you mean to him
And everyday he'd love you times two

He wouldn’t stay over very long
He wanted to hurry home to you
I admired how much he loved his mom
And i could tell his love was true

So sorry your life had to end that way
A horrible thing it really was
I couldn’t be there to say goodbye
But i know your there up above

We loved you very much and to this day
I hope went you passed you didn’t feel alone
But you've taken a rest a break
Since God has called you home.

- "true story...my aunt passed away Sunday night back in south Africa and I was in Jamaica and I couldn’t even say goodbye to her. My parents went to the funeral and my entire family. Her son is so close to me. Kind of a best friend but now I’m afraid to call because I don’t know what so say.. I just pray to god he’s okay... :(...life is so surprising isn’t it...one minute your laughing with the person another they\'re gone...amazing huh...well its the circle of life...got to move on...even at the hardest times....just wish I was home to be there for him..."
