Comments : Sin of Sodom

The title caught my attention. I initially thought that it would just be a poem about, but I gave it chance and ended up voting for it. I love that this is a double acrostic, very clever and creative, and it inspired me to try to write some in the future. This is very powerful and brings the Bible story to life, with strong metaphors and cinematic imagery, at least that's how I see it in my mind's eye. Great job, Andrew; I really enjoyed this. Nominated it, btw ;)

I don't know what you mean by nominated it, for what exactly? Originally I wanted to do Atlantis, but Sodom seemed to write itself much easier. Like Marduke, I don't even know why that popped into my head but I looked it up and it said he was a torturer who turned the sun to stone.

Lol, I nominated it for the weekly P&Q contest, you know, the contest that puts the winners on the front page of the site. Cool! Maybe you can write a poem about Atlantis one day.

I don't really understand how that works. They tried to explain it to me. Can anybody nominate? And then what? You just wait for the word WIN to show up next to your poem?

No and pretty much. I think you have to at least have a blue badge to be able to vote. Since I'm able to vote, I can see the nominated poems and who nominated them. The moderation of the site will review and give them points. The ones with the most points win, and the mods comment on the poems in their forum.
