A Valentine Wish (Acrostic)

by Italian Stallion   Feb 16, 2008

A Valentine wish,

Vanished before my eyes.
Another day wasted,
Looking for love.
Entrusted to the one you love.
Notes, chocolate and hearts
To the one your love,
Is what everyone does, and
Nothing new or
Exciting to get the mood rolling.

Wishing, dreaming what was I thinking?
I know it will never come true, for
So so long.
How I wish it would just come true.

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title. Pretty straight forward, no rhyme scheme or syllable count.

Its been a long time since a saw a poem in this way,(probally since primary school), but you took such a simple way of writing a basic poem, and turned it into something with your own flare and your own skill. very well done.
