This is the poem I wrote for my dad this last father's day...it's cheesy and not that good...but hey-he liked it! :D
Dad, you'e great
Dad, you're smart
And I've come to learn
To appreciate
Your acts of kindness
Your simple words
How the shape of a smile
Is always on your lips
Your patience with life
Your hard determination
To do something quick
And to do it right
This Fathers' Day
When trying to find a gift
It was hard to find something
That could be considered perfect
So I did something else
That no one else could
Something that Costco's
Silver doors did not hold
A face with a smile
A laugh from the heart
A note for my father
Thanking him for what he's done
