For showering me with love and care

And that a mother like you is ever so rare

You brought me up ever so well
You know me inside out
My hidden feelings you can tell
When I laugh, shout or pout

You showed me what being gracious is
You taught me how to speak
You told me not to curse or diss
You said knowledge I should seek

I want you to be happy
I want you to be content
I want you to be proud of me
All for a hundred percent

So on Mothers Day today
I want to show it to you all day
But fret not, this is just one way
