Evening Rain

Raise your glasses
Laughter all around
Sweet music plays
A happy familiar sound

Smiles greet you
Hugs and handshakes
Hungry bellies rumble
As warm bread bakes

Quiet rain outside
Light the fire place
Mama kisses my head
Her soft hand on my face

Family gathers round
Lovely prayers begin
Enough of all this chatter
Grab your fork lets dig in!
