As darkness dominants the day,
screams and shouts from creatures dread.
Ghost, goblins in mask parade, marching,
gaily in full array.
what can this all mean?
Shaking from the macabre scene.
Bodiless orange glowing heads,
skeletons hanging by a thread.
Creatures of every shape and size,
looking for the delicious prize.
Spiders hanging in silky webs,
in the damp air begin to ebb.
Eerie sounds from behind closed door,
bring images of bile and gore.
Suddenly they shout trick or treat,
with giggles they run down the street.
Joyously bounding to the next house,
anything but quiet as a mouse.
Fun is over time for bed,
visions of candy filling their heads.
Happy Halloween
