A New Years Eve [Rondeau]

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 29, 2009

There has been new Adams and Eves
In spite of what we all believe
Prophets wrote words before they knew
What would become forever true
Before the fall of autumn leaves

The earth reclaims what it conceives
As the winter ends and spring relieves
The born again are made brand new
A New Years Eve

The day dawns as the darkness greaves
While mysteries of life unweave
Morning has broken like the dew
As nature divinely achieves
A New Years Eve
