Tis The Season (Senryu String)

by Angie   Dec 19, 2012

Tis The Season

winter solstice a
time of year to celebrate
with peace love and light

yule log candles lit
to the sound of jingle bells
while chestnuts roast

children laugh outside
making snowmen and angels
tossing snowballs too

trees decorated
with candy canes and white lights
a wreath on the door

elves are hurrying
to finish making the toys
for good girls and boys

in a big red sack
all those presents will be put
loaded on the sleigh

santa claus will come
as you slumber in your bed
with sugar plum dreams

two thousand thirteen
a new year is upon us
bring joy to the world

Ang- You make tiny elves and dancing toys come alive in Santa's sack!.. (umm, I know your giggling by my statement...lol)

What is really cool about this write is the entire string of your senryus flow, like a holiday song... because I hummed it as I was reading... love this!
