Tinsel, Birch and Pine

by Maple Tree   Dec 25, 2013

Shiny, iridescent
dangled from her
soul,
as she arose
upon the top
of a withered
skyscraper
they call
a
Birch tree.

Tinsel fell
upon earth
cracked
soil
as millions
of look a like
ornaments
tried to out shine
the other.

A lonely pine cone-
misplaced and forgotten
embedded within the trunk
makes it's way to the top-

the very top of tinsel
birch,

The unique shall shine
upon the top of trees
on a day when peace
on earth sings in the hearts
of birches, pine,
and all thats divine.

I loved the way you described Christmas here. You made me feel so at peace with everything. I loved the skyscraper compared to a tree. I can see that for a little kid. Looking up for the first time and the tree looking giant. This scene overall is beautiful here. The imagery plays out through my head well. You are decorating the tree and enjoying the time with your family. Overall I loved the meaning behind this as it brings so much joy and love into something. Well done
