from the depths of my skull

Evening, couldn't stand seeing the "1 year ago" after this thread on the discussion forum, therefore after feeling sorry for this thread decided to write this.

In essence I am looking for a poem,
But one that doesn't exist yet.

There were days that I had poems fighting each other in my thoughts
desperate to make it out of my mind and onto a page, reshaped and re formed
    yet given life.

Now My brain is empty, the gas has evaporated.

So what do my fellow P N Q people do to re ignite the creative process.

How exciting a thread that states its only '8 minutes ago'! :P

Interesting question. I tend to write observational poetry, so as long as I have my senses, I am okay for material. When I say senses, I mean it, all 5, or more if we care to debate. lol

Another way that I find is to write acrostics. Many people say these are easy, and for the most part they are, but if you ask 10 people to write one, using the same word, you'll find 10 very different poems. So, my advice is to write an acrostic, it is amazing how the subconscious mind reveals itself in them without you trying. I wrote an acrostic sonnet the other day, so the world is your oyster.

    I hope this helps.

I argue with myself. No one knows how to get under my skin better than me.
