Love that you chose this poem by Abby. I know it's your favorite! For some reason that last part, "Was that you, Mel? Was that you?" gets me every time. There should be a term for when you're moving along just fine, reading a poem for instance, and then suddenly something pierces you to your soul, just a few words placed in exactly the right way, and it floors you.

    EDIT:
Alright, here's something. I tried to read a few other poems, but I kept tearing up and my voice was cracking haha. I guess I don't usually read my poems out loud, especially the ones about Milo.
Anyway, this poem is not emotional to me, so I was able to read it just fine. Here you go:

Oh my gosh, I loved when we did this! Hearing everyone read their works aloud was so beautiful and amazing! Thank you for bringing this back around!

So here's an old poem of mine, but apparently its one of my best (according to a select group of friends) :

P.s my friends dog was begging for attention as I recorded it. Hence the laughter at the end.

Nikko, my partner, was far more captivated by your reading of my poem, Yaki, than by anything I've written. I love that I've written something that means so much to you, for reasons of your own. I was going to vocaroo it as well, but now I don't think I will. Somehow, after 5 years, I feel like the poem now belongs more to you than to me, and I like your version.

Andrea I saw they do it on YouTube. It is more effective because you have the option of visual as well.

This is not Vocaroo, neither is mine nor is my voice. Also have some bad words but it is very interesting if I may:
