Song titled poetry

    Hi All

I thought I would start a poetry thread with a difference. Okay using styles of ‘Senryu’ ‘Tanka’ ‘Haiku’ ‘syntuit’ or verses in rhyme (maximum- 8 lines) write a poem.

All poems are to be made up from ‘song titles’ no other words can be used, and no words repeated. The ‘Title’ of the poem must be a song title as well. I have given an example below (make of that what you will), obviously open to anyone’s perspective, so they can be about anything at all. All about our imagination!

Might be a bit of fun, interesting or rubbish, but if you are u for it- have a go. If you want to break down a poem and give your meaning, by all means do so. This is not a competition, just a challenge of ones mind

Title -“Road to hell” by: Chris Rea (senryu)

    Comfortably numb
    Love don’t live here anymore
    I want to break free

“Comfortably numb” by: Pink Floyd – 1979

“Love don’t live here anymore” by: Rolls Royce – 1978

"I want to break free" by: Queen - 1984

    Good luck
    Much love
    Michael :)
