Border Patrol in the Wild West

by Jordan   Nov 18, 2015

I am Ashamed. In your
absent minded stead.

Today I am a Sharp Wind
blowing in your face.
I am a Doctor.
A Needle threading
through your stitches.
I am a Father.
I am shouting
at a misunderstood child
out of love, compassion.

I am Ashamed

Jordan captivated the readers this week.

His short, powerful and dramatic edge of wording is beyond powerful. He captures the true sorrow behind world devastation. Powerful and small poem with great impact!

This is summing up my thoughts on America today, celebrating togetherness and giving thanks for food on a holiday that propagates lies about what settlers really did to Native Americans.
So probably this poem isn't about that.
But I feel your words today.
