I'm Blue

by C Cattaway   Dec 24, 2017

Your blue eyes, in the morning,
When they twinkle with you smile.
Your blue eyes, when you're happy,
And the way they gaze a mile.
Your blue eyes, reminiscing,
When I lose you to a thought.
Your blue eyes share a moment,
When I see the pain they fought.
Your blue eyes, when you listen,
And you ponder what I say.
Your blue eyes, filled with wonder
When you contemplate your day.
Your blue eyes! How I miss them,
In the evening, since you've gone.
Your blue eyes gave your secrets away,
But you got it wrong.

Aw. A lovely piece with a sad twist. People can sometimes master their expressions but their eyes will always tell the truth. Good stuff Catherine :-) x
