Losing you

by Em (marmite)   Feb 23, 2018

The wind surrounds me whispering your name

a stark reminder of what I recently lost

the coldness wrapping around me

mirroring how I've felt since you returned home

I know you're in a better place without me but

it's no consolation to how your passing made me feel

and I miss you

words will never come close to how much

numbness aches my bones

tears stain my cheeks

Em, this is beautiful and so very sad. I can't even imagine what you are going through if it makes me feel this way. I am so sorry for you and all my condolences for your loss.
