Ha! Such a beautiful, sweet poem.
Sublime to read, and reads so effortlessly.
I love this!

Wow this is such a deeper than it appears short write.
The beginning is amazing because there are two things that come to mind when I read it;
Its possible this person is trapped within a web of their own thoughts. (As gossamer is basically the string the spiders weave). This is set up so well at the beginning to feel the sadness. She hangs onto a metaphorical web, physically and probably mentally both. The red eyes tell me that she has been crying a lot, and because of that crying she has been unable to sleep. Or the possibility in my mind is-
This person is metaphorically the web herself, which would make sense for the ending. Sometimes the web breaks apart but it always comes back stronger than ever. I loved the word fulsome combined with the line after, because you believe in this person and you being there for them makes them be able to hold on.
I loved all the emotions you have showcased in this piece because you have made them work well. They combine well to prove that one emotion can work with another. The sadness at the beginning is a great start to pull the reader in and the ending of hopefulness makes the reader know it will be ok in the end. Excellent work.
