Lonely at the Top

by Lost One   Nov 7, 2018

Its lonely at the top
They've all lost the will to climb
I'm surrounded by the memories
Of those I left behind

Its not the destination
The journey is my truth
For as I reach each summit
My heart's still taken by the view

I'm not lonely in my climb
Im not worried about the fall
Its when I reach the top
That I finally feel it all

I long to share the view
With another of like mind
But I have no kindred spirits
Among the ones I left behind...

No matter how lonely the summit is, Tony, my advice is keep climbing and always aim to conquer the mountain that's before you.

Take care - I hope you are well.

Don't worry Ben, there's plenty of mountains in Colorado!
