Winters demise (collab Mr Darcy)

by Em (marmite)   Mar 29, 2019

On a frosty morn’
spiny hues shuffle
along a moss carpeted wall
whilst imperceptible from view
sated eyes blink

for there had been murder
beneath the:

- moonlight
- streetlight
- starlight

Beasts knew, first hand, the suspect. . .
one you'd never believe
but the tale is a gory -
fangs galore, mouthless screams
and more...

Hunger had drooled in a panted-pool:

- sightless
- flightless

Where life
-Stops –

In the snouting-velvet night

‘’blink’ and you’ll miss it.
Lurking in the darkness –

watching
waiting. . .

ready to pounce
on writhing-prey

a hedgehog’s hunger did twist and
in a flash of red-mist, vice-lips squeezed

and worm is:
plucked and sucked
and swallowed into his hollow
like spaghetti
delicious
Brown
Red
And now
The worm is
Most very, very. . .

Dead.

Thanks to Mr. Darcy (the wonderful Michael) for working with me on this as you can probably tell he did most of the editing, love you lots you fine Sir, as always it's a pleasure

Funny, i was thinking just last night about the lack of collaborations on the site over the last few months and then this comes along and I understood why...

Just kidding. Fantastic work, both of you, and Michael - I did laugh at your comment.

What a beautiful piece of art, I assume this could actually be turned into a musical-short-play ? the beat was there and so was the short rhythm in most of the verses. I enjoyed reading this and found it intriguing. Worms! Well done.
