Comments : A Magical Poetry Land

I wish I had a nomination left to nominate this. We live in a world where there is so much death and despair, where people starve and others get fat. I wish that people could be grateful for the things that they have and not complain about what they don''t. Almost losing this site this week brought home to me this week how lucky we are to be part of such a special and unique place.

What wonderful news that you have a new healthy baby on the way. There is no greater gift.. and I think your poetry already helps make this a magical poetry land

    Much love Milly x

Milly, thanks so much but the scan was all okay and the baby is well. I'm genuinely sorry if that wasn't made clear in the poem.

      All my best to you

This site has been of such great comfort to all of us and the people are such inspiration and we are family. Ben you nailed this and I love you for it. We are living in a world where small things don't seem to matter. Hunger, poverty. illness and crimes are becoming a daily routine to so many. Not to mention everything else. Life is short, it does not come with guarantees but we are blessed to be here. Congratulations on new baby such great joy. Hugs to you Ben . Add to my favorite.

Ben, I just got home to comment but I saw this poem in between calls at work (shh, don't tell anyone I use the computer to look at PnQ when I need a break lol), but this made me sigh happily aloud.

I know you've shared tragedy on here, loss and so much of yourself... and that's what makes this piece that much more sincere. You are pushing and encouraging others. You perfectly captured the power and emotion of words, of how we can weld them into poetry and create what we may have once thought was hopeless - into something hopeful.

Thanks for sharing this with all of us, for being you and I am glad to know you (at least through your poetry!)

Lovely words, MA. I've only been on here a few years, and although I was 35 when I joined, I feel I have grown up immensely since. I have had adventures, and misadventures, on this site but most of it has been positive. I, too, am glad to know you through your words and poetry and others here too.

      All the best

Ben... Youve bared your soul writing this!!!!! ( congrats on the new arrival by the way. I do believe " a new life " ie. that of a newborn baby brings vigour, life, joy and happiness into our souls...as this poem has!!!! ) :D

This is indeed to a "magical place. . " it really is <3

There is so much warmth and love and soul connection! ( that I think only poets can truely share!!)

I came here my years ago feeling very down :/ and it was like a big digger came and lifted me out of the mud! lol. I hadn't wrote poetry since I was at secondary school, but took my pen in hand again after becoming a mum to four ... And i have to say the love encouragement and friendship here helped me.
This deserves to be wrote in gold over this site :D

Thank you for your friendship here Ben ...and for this write .. Best wishes forever <3

Lovely words, Olwin, and thank you for sharing those memories with me. I think many of us here owe a lot to this site which is, at its core, a darn good place to retreat to from the 'real world'.

      All the best
