The End of The Sun

by Arthur Awai   Jun 22, 2019

The sun shone majestically,
I was greeted by the morning,
Touched by the scene,
I was awestruck,
Glistening red liquid,
In a shape akin to a diamond ring,
Trickering down my cheeks,
Tears whispered,
Melancholy to me,
My soul responded in silence,
As answers sealed their lips.

Beautifully penned. Perhaps you were in a sunset mood, however, all I could imagine was; myself waking up at the early hours of the day, with the sun rising, sitting in total silence and in serenity, sad-nostalgic and drifting away in silence with my thoughts. I am moved by the poem because it took me on my own trip with my personal interpretation. Your poem spoke to me! Thank you for sharing.
