Siren (acrostic)

by Ben Pickard   Jul 19, 2019

Serenaded with notes that
Ingrain themselves, my ship
Rolls mechanically to the untamed
Ether of your melodious myth where
No man is destined to return from

Thanks, Em. Actually, I wrote this after reading one of your acrostics and was inspired by a poem by Larry.

Right away when reading this, I was like hmm... I wonder if he's inspired by Larry lol. Or even Daniel's poem about this from months ago.

Well-chosen words here especially "melodious myth" and the foreboding sense of never returning. Does one dare to let themselves to listen to the sweet sweet song, does one dare to follow? Does man even have a choice? I love hearing how that "pull" is described, how the temptress is written.
