Oh, I felt this so much. Em, you have taken four words and truly weaved them into the reality that is depression. I think people often believe depression just looks like one thing, or only consists of feeling "sad", when feeling a "void" is much more accurate in my eyes. If only we could see these demons, physically fight them... when our mind tells us to believe one thing and we become lost, afraid, seeing chaos around us, it's hard to imagine a way out of the what appears to be abyss. But there is a way out, a way out of the void into something more.

Emotional acrostic that I related to!

Very nice acrostic, surprisingly deep for being so short. It's harder than most realize to have a four word acrostic poem in which the text itself is both evocative and connected to the acrostic word itself. Void - where the invisible demons live; where the heart once was, which now fills us with visions of nightly terrors and daily anxieties.

Because emptiness (void) and demons come from the same place - the heart.
    Nicely written.

Very imaginative, Em. Not easy with such a short acrostic either.

    All the best as ever
