Dang Ben, quite dark! Loved it though! It is quite fitting for the season.

I hope this is inspired by halloween! If not then maybe we should get scared? This is genius in the darkest way and really deep. From the time I started reading your poetry this is new and original.
I hope all is well :)

Thanks so much, Star. I tried something a bit different here but i actually wrote it a few months back, so i cant use the Halloween excuse...

Ahh, Ben! This is beyond unnerving and uncomfortable to read, so well done on that. And weirdly creative, because I never would have thought of some of these things. Tying in the fruit and boulder, and taunting the reader with the "what if", the casual last line of "just to know".... SHIVERS.

Also, I'm rewatching The Walking Dead, and this poem perfectly fit a certain character, who makes me so uneasy and you never know when survival kicks in, who they transform into. Just the whole feeling of this poem, very dark indeed!

Thanks, MA. Not really sure where this one came from - perhaps it's best kept that way! The Walking Dead is superb, by the way.

If Stephen King wrote poetry...brilliant and clever.
