It is sad, that an eight year old is noticing what's happening in the world. I think I was living in my own world when I was eight.
He's one wise child :) I have to add this to my favorites.

At loss for some coherent words here, Ben. If only a majority of people could understand and see and follow this wisdom in Harry's words, see through the eyes of a child, a pure soul, that there is hope in the world when we are united.

Truly stirs the heart indeed. How many adults refuse to acknowledge that we are destroying ourselves? I think people have different ideas of what "unity" should be. I really believe it means that sure, there may be still be problems, but we respect each other's humanity and truly listen, instead of invalidating whatever they feel. Unity to me doesn't mean all being the same, it means working together despite and in spite of all the reasons we create to avoid saying that yes, sometimes we're wrong. Sometimes we need to be humbled.

Your son, Harry, has humbled us all here.

Interesting point, MA. I've always said that acceptance isnt about pretending we're all the same, it's about acknowledging our differences and being tolerant of them.

Showed your quote to my 8 year old daughter, she said people would always find a reason to fight eachother. Almost brought me to tears as well, but for a different reason.
