A visitor in a strange land
He wanted to see, learn and
Experience that different life, but
Homesick to his wife, he is, and to his hut.
He came, took a look around;
Madness and jealousy are all that he found.
Rode up to me and said:
“It’s been three days since I last was fed.”
Looked at him with disgust, and then I fled;
That’s not what mother taught me, nor my bled.
Went back to him, and next to him I sat
He forgot what I had done and started to chat.
“They separated religion from state,
Humankind from the path of his fate.
They separated heart from law
And when they see misery, they look with aw!
Everyone is silent, yet all speak
If someone fell while at his peak
Dismissed, he is, not good enough for me.
In their minds, those thoughts will be;
Ask them they would never say it loudly.
If you fall, you’ll see
In a blink of an eye, they’ll deny thee.
If you don’t, congrats
But, do you actually want to be surrounded by rats
Face life and stop being a fugitive
He who does not weep does not live!”
