Muse

‘Put pen to paper, and it will come to you!’
A well-elaborated phrase, when you’re blue
The well had dried days ago
No thoughts on your mind just go
We don’t need you or your writing
Contented with ourselves even if we’re fighting
Taking care of small and significant problems;
Living our way not Harlem’s
You write, and we listen
That’s enough! Ears are bleeding
No more philosophy, no more ethics
We need to live and take pics
Bleak, bleak, bleak
If you’re Chinese or Greek
Get off our backs and stop thinking
If you’re a slave or a king
Just live and forget poetry
No good will come from it, only misery
To think of every single moment
Of every unique sight and fragrant
Take it as it comes and leave it be
You’ll see, you'd have never felt so free.
From Victor Hugo to Keats
From the bathroom to your sheets
It’s the same, just different views
So get off my back, or get a new muse!
