Piece Of White Lace

There comes a point in life
When a precious life is lost.
One with so much worth
It has no price nor cost.

So let me tell you a story
One that broke my heart.
This is about a little girl
Whose life had fallen apart.

Everyone loved her laugh
Her smile lit up the room.
She cherished everyone
In every months bloom.

She held a dark secret though
As she hide away her tears.
She was raped and beaten
Abused for almost three years.

But she loved her father
She never knew her mom.
For she lived in Heaven
With the angels singing songs.

She always wore dresses
Made of silk and white lace.
For they never hurt her skin
As she moved from a place.

She always smiled that smile
Skipping and singing away.
With no care in the world
That was until her final day.

One night she had screamed
No one had heard her cries.
She laid there cold and dead
With tears still in her eyes.

This young child had died
At the tender age of five.
She fought so hard then
It wasn't enough to survive.

Laying beneath her body
A piece of white lace laid.
Untouched from this tragedy
Torn it had flown far away.

Along with this angel it escaped
Living in Heaven she safely plays.
Protected by her mothers arms
Harm shall never come her way.

So sad, is this about a true story? Gosh, I hope not, poor sweet child.
